LA Ice Arena Spring Season Contest

LA Ice will provide on and off ice activities throughout the day including; skating, hockey, fitness, sports, crafts and games! Skates will be lent out for camp if you do not have your own.
We will also offer a light lunch of a hotdog, popcorn and a small drink.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday    from 8:30am – 5:30pm      

$90 per week                                       $340 for 4 weeks                                $485 for 6 weeks

In house Hockey League. Available to all youth ages and skill levels. Cross ice action. Instructed skills and drills.

BEGINS MAY 11th!   

MAY: 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28. JUNE: 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25. JULY: 2, 9, 13, 20.

Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 P.M.&Saturdays 9:00-11:00 A.M.

Cost of Program is $200  25% discount for players travelling over 100 miles

This includes 60 minutes of instructed skills and drills on Tuesday nights. Games will be conducted in 30 minute time frames, with approximately 15 shifts per game, and 6 participants to a team. Participants will receive 24hrs of ice, and a Game day Jersey. Players will be placed according to skill level.

Registration is due by Monday, April 20th 

A $25 late fee will be assessed for any registration accepted after April 1st. There will also be a $25 charge for the game day jersey and lettering for a late registration.

If you’re looking for league play action, that is what LA ICE has. 10, 75 minutes games and playoffs, two on ice officials, and USA Hockey Rules.

Spring is just around the corner, and we’re already looking ahead to our next Adult League, starting on MAY 5th. Full dates can be found on our calendar. Registration is $200.00 and will be due APRIL 14^th,.  The draft will take place the evening of the 14^th at 7pm. The jersey order will be placed April 15th.

We are live on POINSTREAK under LIAHL. If you played in our previous Winter session, you will have already acquired a stat sheet; therefore we are requiring players to keep the same number, regardless of what color team they will play for in the future. Stats will be recorded under your number. This may mean that you will  have to purchase a new jersey. Additional color jerseys may be purchased for $20.

Players will be selected in a random draft, based on skill level. Captains may choose 2 core players, not to be placed into the draft. Teams will equal out, however if trades need to be made, they will be done by the administrator on MAY 19th .  Trades will only be made to even out team strength.

Fall Session: September 07- October 26      Winter Session I: November 02 – December 21     Winter Session II 2013: January 18 – March 8

Home school Lessons: 1:30-2:00    learn the Basics of skating

Physical Education through skating (2:00-3:30pm)

Price: Only $36.00 for 8 Weeks of Physical Education through skating. $50 for 8 weeks of Home school lessons. Skaters may also drop in for $8.

NEW! Private lessons available for $15  per 30 minutes

This class is every Thursday night from 6:00-7:15 p.m. and is taught by coach Tamarah Hooper.

Full equipment is required as well as a bottle or two of water.

The cost is $10 per class.

8 WEEK PACKAGE INCLUDES:

1/2 Hour of Lesson Time, 1/2 Hour of Practice Time, Skate Rental, USFS Membership option, 6th Week Evaluation, 8th Week Final Test, and a Badge for Passed Level (if member of USFS).

All Lesson’s are taught and supervised by our Professional Staff: PSA and USA Hockey Accredited. The first night will be for registrations and placement evaluations, the final class will be testing.

The main objective of this Hockey Skill Development Program is to give boys and girls the ultimate hockey experience. Hockey at this level should be based on having fun, participation by all, and learning fundamental basic hockey skills.

Full Equipment Required:
Equipment: LA ICE offers loaner equipment for players; fittings will be done by appointment. You will need to return your equipment at the end of the session.We also have full equipment for sale in our pro shop.

Mondays 5:30 – 7:00 March 4  -  April 8

     Next Session  April 22nd – May 27th

First two weeks : Basic Skating technique

Second two weeks: Stick Handling and shooting technique

Third segment: Game situations and scrimmage

Our Basic Hockey Skills class in an excellent way to learn the important aspects of hockey, and all of its rules. Though it is difficult to fit all the aspects of hockey into one class, our basic hockey skills class is designed to cover all the bases needed to develop hockey players that are new to the sport. We recommend that skaters have beginning skating ability to register. 30 minutes of stick and puck time is included in registration fee. We recommend skaters arrive early and are ready to be on the ice at 5:30 .
