BJ O’Brien
BJ is a professional Goalie in the CHL and will be conducting camps as well as teaching private lessons for Goalies sporadically at LA Ice.
Originally from Lakeville MN, BJ was drafted in the 3rd round by the Indiana Ice in the USHL. The following year he played for the Fargo/Moorhead Jets in the NAHL. He then committed to St. Cloud State University Division 1 in the WCHA where he played for two years and then transferred to St. Norbert College Division 3. During his Sr year with St. Norbert College, his team won the National Championship. After finishing college BJ signed with Rio Grande Valley in the CHL, he then played in Augusta for the Riverhawks, and was then traded to the Louisiana Ice Gators. From there he was called up to Greenville in the ECHL, and later signed with the Missouri Mavericks in the CHL where he finished the 2012 season. While he was in Missouri he was also called up to the Chicago Wolves in the AHL.

be named Frozen Four’s Most Outstanding
Player twice (2010 and 2011)

Stephanie has played Ringette for fourteen years (many of her Ringette years consisted of her playing at a AAA Level.) and currently
has been playing hockey for the past three years. With the love of ice and team sports she completed her Ringette
Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program also known as NCCP as well as Ringette Officiating Certificate.
Stephanie decided to take and complete her Early Childhood Education and has worked with many children from the age of birth to twelve.
She enjoys teaching children and when she can put her training and experience together she can help anyone achieve their goals.

Amanda has been skaing in Louisiana since 1997, under the tutelage of Crystal David. She has been coaching since 2004 at LA Ice. Her Former students have competed in the Southwestern Regional Championships in qualifying rounds, and have tested through the Juvenile level in both Free Skate and Moves In the Field.
Emily Matiski
Emily was born and raised in International Falls, Minnesota. Here she skated as a member of the International Falls Figure Skating Club (IFFSC) from ages 11 to 18 and performed in each annual ice show event presented by the club.
Competitively, Emily skated in individual and synchronized skating events from 1996 – 2003 in the Minnesota and North Dakota regions and had tested through the Juvenile Freestyle and Juvenile Moves in the Field USFS levels.
Emily began coaching within the Basic Skills program in Louisiana in 2008.
Former students have competed in the Houston Fall Invitational, Skate Dallas,
and Broadmoor Open Basic Skills competitions with great success!
